At 3:13pm on Thursday we welcomed our new beautiful daughter, Ruby Alice, into this world at West Point's Keller Army Hospital. She was 11 lbs, 1 oz and 22 in long--as some of the nurses said, Heather gave birth to a 3 month old! Heather did so great during the labor and birth--I was so proud of her and so thankful for the doctors and nurses that helped us along the way. All babies are little miracles, and we are so thankful that God blessed us with another beautiful baby girl. We named her Ruby because we liked the uniqueness of the name and we wanted to remind her of her southern roots. Alice is after Lee's grandmother who passed away a couple of years ago--without a doubt, one of the strongest, most devoted women we have ever met and certainly someone worth of Ms. Ruby growing up to emulate.
